Задача

The challenge was to create a house that embodied Alex's vision and make a statement in the surrounding neighbourhood while referring to the materials used in the neighbourhood.  We looked to strike a balance between bold, contemporary design elements and a sense of familiarity that would be respectful to the established character of the area.

We used different types of materials but kept them in the same tone to make a solid whole

Решение

We responded to the challenge by incorporating bold design elements that contrasted with the traditional homes in the neighbourhood. Large, open windows and very large frames surrounded the house, emphasizing the connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The choice of materials, such as red bricks and wooden frames, added a unique touch, with a color that made the house stand out while still using familiar, human-scale materials. The floor plan was carefully designed, with the frame creating a subtle pop-out on the second floor, adding depth and texture to the facade.

Результат

The final result is a stunning modern home that embodies Alex's personality and aspirations. The bold design, with its large windows and distinctive frames, creates a striking visual impact. The use of red bricks and wooden elements adds a warm and inviting touch to the contemporary design. Alex's dream of a unique and reflective space has been brought to life, providing him with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The house stands as a testament to the successful collaboration between architect and homeowner, seamlessly blending modern aesthetics with the surrounding suburban context.

The construction process used locally available materials and a local constructor.
